Communications path - any comms medium can be
used
The DEDICATED DATAengines get data from the remote site to a
local ISP (Internet Service Provider), eg. Freeserve in the UK - no different
to the process anyone (or any company) goes through to access the
Internet.
Communications can be by radio, satellite or phone network
(most likely). The data is then carried by the Internet around the globe to the
DEDICATEDengines secure database and server (central computer).
To
enhance the reliability of the connection, DEDICATEDengines can provide a
secure pathway through a global internet service provider, which provides ISP
connections in nearly 200 countries and over 15,000 local points of presence,
using a secure connection.
GSM + Laptop or WAP phone
The
software suite is also able to monitor data and send messages under user
defined conditions. These messages usually ask for action (such as auto order
for supplies) or flag alarm conditions. These messages are sent via email, SMS
(mobile phone) or pager. Flags can be seen via any standard Web browser, such
as Microsoft Internet Explorer, or Netscape Navigator, or via a WAP phone. |
