used to aid supply chain management. Bulk storage stock levels can be made
available, to both manufacturing personnel and suppliers alike, to ensure that
deliveries of replenishment stock are made in a timely manner, avoiding
shortages and last-minute panic shipments.
When combined with the Data
Acquisition/Trending module, usage can be trended to give better prediction of
when re-stocking will be required. Sudden changes in usage patterns can raise
alarms to indicate when emergency deliveries might be required.
