SCALABILITY |
SECURITY |
|
|
| The system is fully scalable. Additional silos can be
connected at any time. Information exchange web pages between suppliers,
customers and third parties can be added and modified as the system grows and
matures. |
Security is assured with SSL encryption techniques.
Although the system encourages collaborative practices, access to the data
through the web pages and WAP phones is controlled via user name and password
log-in. |

INDUSTRY SOLUTIONS |
|
|
eVMI is particularly suited to supporting "loose bulk"
supply operations, such as liquids, slurries, grains, granules, particulates
and powders transported in bulk, e.g. by road tankers, and stored in silos,
hoppers, tanks and vessels. Industries served by eVMI include:
- Oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical and
pharmaceutical.
- Food and drink, animal feed, farming, agriculture
and horticulture.
- Ore, aggregate and minerals extraction, raw
materials, construction and building materials.

SECURE HOSTED GLOBAL NETWORK |
|
|
The eVMI Internet-based Vendor Managed Inventory
system, from DEDICATEDengines, provides visibility of bulk stocks using the
far-reaching World Wide Web. It is fully scaleable and will not interfere with
existing systems. Using the Application Service Provider model, we host the
software on our Internet-based server.
|
HARDWARE |
|
|
The on-site Data Capture Unit (DCU) hardware provides
the link to bulk silo storage facilities. The DCU connects directly to existing
silo level sensors and systems without compromising their operation. Utilising
'data push' techniques, Internet connection is made 'by exception' only,
obviating the need for permanent Internet connections.

ERP INTEGRATION |
|
|
Integration with ERP is an option, not a necessity! We
can set up CSV, or XML file transfer to ERP. ERP integration can improve the
scope of efficiences, including finished goods stock allocation and
manufacturing 'pull'. Data from ERP systems can also enhance the benefits of
the eVMI system, including provision of time to delivery and automated
billing.
