Global Connect

Extending the reach of the Internet to the factory floor and remote sites - the Internet is the only effective way for the companies involved to share information globally, eg. the real value added, collaborative supply chain or asset maintenance chain.

While many are using the Internet for e-commerce, to trade between companies, DEDICATEDengines is connecting web sites to live plant data, wherever it may be in the world. DEDICATEDengines is thus extending the reach of the Internet to the factory floor and remote sites, on a global scale.

DEDICATEDengines is using the Internet to collect global information and distributing it via Internet web sites. Communication is two-way, providing both plant monitoring (inputs) and control (outputs) through a normal web browser.

Interfacing to new and legacy equipment

DEDICATED data engines connect direct to existing sensors, instrumentation and devices (new measurement equipment isn't required), cutting out human transcription error, providing an audit of industrial processes, independent of existing systems. DEDICATEDengines interfaces use special connection and input techniques, which allow them to access readings from sensors and instruments without disrupting or compromising existing set-ups or signals.

DEDICATEDengines has many years experience in connecting to unusual (and often very old) plant and equipment. Interfacing is at many levels; sensor, instrumentation, DCS (distributed control system), shop floor SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) computer. This experience is embodied in a range of "I/O" (input/output) modules, which fit in the DEDICATED DATA (collection) engine.
